Call my bluff

Idioms are the colour of the language and the despair of advanced learners!
1. If you leave the topic and go off the beaten path you talk about something irrelevant.
2. If you go off the beaten path, you go soemwhere for the first time.
3. If your house is in the middle of the mountains, it is off the beaten path.
Try and call my bluff!
As I mentioned at the end of the class, look at the idioms exercise in TICK, find one you like and prepare a call my bluff for Monday morning.
Have a good weekend!

I know I'm not going to guess it, but I'll give it a try with option 3!

I think it must be number two. Why?...Because doing research on the Internet you find out that when you "go off the beaten path" you come across new and unexpected good things (restaurants, shoppings, bookstores,pubs,...)
